La Mancina Spumante Brut

Grechetto gentile. Sparkling. Brilliant straw yellow. Aroma of crust of bread and ripe fruit of white paste, peach, walnut and melon with nuances of rosemary flowers and hawthorn. Fermentation in stainless steel. 6-month Charmat method. Alc.12% Also available in 1,5 L bottle.

Barbera Frizzante

Barbera. Ruby red in colour. Fine and crispy aroma. Savoury, open, pleasantly sparkling. Maceration for 2 weeks and fermentation in stainless steel vats.Charmat method. Alc.13%


Merlot. Ruby red with purple hues. Intense and persistent bouquet with light vegetal notes. Fine and delicate taste. Fermentation in stainless steel vats. Alc.13%


Grechetto Gentile. Deep yellow with golden hues. Delicate scent with citrus notes. Bodied, harmonic and elegant to the mouth. Fermentation in stainless steel. Up to 10 months on the lees, then partial ageing in 5-Hl French oak tonneaux. In bottle for at least 6 months before selling. Alc.14%.

Comandante della Guardia

Cabernet sauvignon. Deep ruby red. Aroma of red fruits, tobacco and spices. Smooth, full-bodied and balanced to the mouth. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months. Alc.13% Available also in 1,5 L bottle

Pignoletto Terre di Montebudello

Grechetto Gentile (Pignoletto). Deep straw yellow. Delicate scent with fruity notes. Harmonic and lingering palate with typical aftertaste. Fermentation in stainless steel, including malo-lactic. Then ageing about 6 months on the lees to increase complexities in the aromas and flavours. In bottle for at least 4 months before selling. Alc.13,5%

Pignoletto Frizzante

Grechetto Gentile (Pignoletto). Sparkling. Brilliant straw yellow. Delicate aroma, fruity, with almond nut reminiscences. Harmonic, slightly aromatic with typical aftertaste. Fermentation in stainless steel. 2-month Charmat method. Alc.12,5% Also available in 375ml bottle.

Our Vineyards

Vineyards are located on hilly soils rich in clay, which is ideal for quality wines, and are carefully grown by natural methods. Grapes are hand-picked in September. All steps of winemaking, ageing and bottling, in fact, the whole production of about 120.000 bottles per year is performed in the winery located within the farm.

About Us

Azienda Agricola La Mancina covers about 40 hectares - i.e. 100 acres - on Montebudello's sunny hills, at an average height of 200 meters above sea level in the south-west of the province of Bologna, in the heart of "Colli Bolognesi DOC - DOCG" wines area.
